A little bit about Heirloom

The history of this beautiful Lady began with her commission in 1955 for Herbert W Stone. She is a 70’ cruiser powered by a pair of GM diesels capable of delivering 478 shaft horsepower at 2300 rpm which gives a top speed of 12 knots and cruising speed of 10 knots.  Constructed of double planked mahogany over a frame of white oak, the trim and deckhouses are teak. Teak is a smooth fine grain tropical hardwood used extensively by Trumpy and worked into precise mortice and tenon joinery. Tectona grandis is impervious to weather, wind and water, resistant to rot, mildew, boring bugs and warp-splinter proof.

Herbert W. Stone took possession of his  Yacht and Christened her Silver Mist in 1956.

The main accommodation  was designed to carry 3 couples in luxury, with the option of having guests over for a party as there's lots of space. Heirloom offers a large Saloon for entertaining, entered through the glazed doors from the aft deck. The aft deck provides a magnificent  gathering space for your guests to enjoy cocktails. A large Party area can be found upstairs on the Top deck. Two walk arounds (gangways) on the sides of the yacht give you the option for fresh air and arrive you at the bow where even more seating and entertaining areas await you. A Fully appointed kitchen is on board as well, whether you are using our chef to provide delicious meals during your weekly excursion or managing it yourself, the space will not disappoint.  Downstairs below the Main Deck you will find the Master VIP Stateroom with en suite , complemented by an additional pair of double staterooms each with en suite.

Externally she provides a fantastic Aft deck, all able to be opened up from its weather protectors to enjoy the fantastic views and ocean breezes. A wonderful entertaining area, and offers a gorgeous dining space. This area also serves access to the aft gangplank and swim step. Up the stairs you will find the flying bridge, this again is an amazing entertaining area. The permanent dining table seats at least 8 and there is a sundeck. Back downstairs via the gangways which make you feel like you're on a much larger yacht you will find the open bow area, with more seating and a large walk around deck rounds off this beautiful classic yacht.

Captain and Mate forward quarters accommodate a crew of three, with separate head, shower and kitchen facilities, also laundry facilities.

Heirloom has had a long exciting life. She has hosted several parties and was the venue of choice for many movie stars when moored in her Los Angeles port. Having a few owners and names in between she was purchased by her current owners  and she is now named Heirloom.

Whilst her hailing port remains Los Angeles California, she is currently touring the Mediterranean, her home away from home port is Genova, Italy. One of the most beautiful coastal cruising areas, with multiple bays to drop anchor. Play all day, then dress for dinner either to host a party or take the tender on shore for dinner at one of the famous eateries along the coast.

Whatever you decide to do you will be overwhelmed by the rest and relaxation you will enjoy on this Classic Yacht.
